I came to First Baptist Church as the Lead Pastor in January of 2006. I was raised in upstate NY and graduated from Geneseo State University where I majored in business. It was in college when God grabbed a hold of my life. After 4 years with Rochester Youth for Christ I went to Denver Seminary in Colorado. Since then I have enjoyed the journey of being an Associate Pastor at Main Street Baptist Church in Oneonta, NY,  Senior Pastor at Olivet Baptist in Crystal, MN and now Lead Pastor of First Baptist Church.

My wife, Nancy, is a Title One elementary school teacher. We have three married children and eight grandchildren.

When I get a bit of free time, you’ll find me motorcycling, bicycling, playing basketball, reading or playing with my grandkids.

My name is Jared Gustafson and I joined the FBC staff in May of 2003. I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin – home of the greatest professional football team in history, the Packers! I grew up the son of a youth pastor and my brother is also a youth pastor. Mandy and I have been married for six years, our son, Tyler, is 2 Years old, and Micah was born on January 8th 2007.

My greatest joys in life are spending time with my wife, Mandy, and my Kids, Tyler and Micah; seeing students grow in their relationship with Christ; and spending time in God’s beautiful creation!

My name is Brian Allen and I am the pastor of Outreach and Adult Education here at First.  My passion in life is to serve people by helping them seek out answers to their spiritual question, work through the difficulties that life has thrown their way, and discover the life change that takes place when we enter into a personal relationship with God.

My wife (Carol) and I have three boys (Joel, Micah & Levi).  As a family, we love sports, camping, and spending time together in a variety of different ways.  My personal hobbies are sports, hunting, fishing and reading.  Though we recently moved to Minnesota, we love it here because of the people and because of the incredible outdoor recreational opportunities.

If there is any way we can help you in your spiritual journey here at First, don’t hesitate to give me a call!

My name is Greta Schimming and I am the Children's Director here at First B! I graduated from Bethel College in 1992 with a degree in Social Work and a Licensure in Education. My husband John and I have been married 13 years and have three boys, Eli (10), Alec (8) and Evan (4).. and as they say, "There's a special place in heaven for a mother of 3 boys."

God is doing incredible and exciting things in the Children's Ministry area here at First. My "side kick" is Michelle Viesselman, and I am so thankful for her energy and her heart for Children's Ministry. I feel extremely blessed to partner with families to win kids to Christ and to grow them spiritually!

In my free time I enjoy walking, running, decorating, antiqueing and spending time with family and friends out in God's amazing
creation.  I am continually blessed by the kids and families here at First B.
